My mom’s affinity for birds has led her to place all sorts
of bird feeders, birdhouses, and a birdbath in her backyard. I remember
times as a youngster going out in the winter snow to toss some seed in the bird
feeders, then watching from the house as the birds flocked in for the
grub. I painted The Fountain as a Mother’s Day gift for her.
